A student of Government Science Secondary School (GSSS), Gombe has written his West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) despite testing positive for Covid-19 in Gombe State.

The student joined his fellow West African candidates to write his mathematics examination today, Monday, August 17 2020.

He wrote the examination from his isolation room in Gombe State.

This is coming soon after the government has approved reopening of schools for exit classes across the country.

“Health and education are a priority in Gombe State. A final year student of GSSS Gombe tested positive for Covid-19 and was isolated yesterday, today he is writing his mathematics SSCE while ensuring his invigilator is well protected” Gombe State government tweeted.

The invigilator was well dressed in a protective dress to enable him to invigilate the examination in line with the Covid-19 protocols.
