Osun State Polytechnic Iree has concluded its first semester examinations for freshers and stalites of the institution for the 2019/20 academic session.
According to news gathered by NEB Correspondent, students completed their papers this afternoon after sitting for the last paper.
In a chat with Olamide Olarinde from Mass Communication Department, she said, “We concluded the examination today after one of my paper was moved to this week, but I thank God in the end that this long semester has ended”.
The examination which was organised for ND1, HND 1& HND 2 students marked the end of the first semester for the 2019/20 academic sessions.
The examination which started amidst different heat lasted for two weeks after being slated for February 17th but commenced February 24th and ended on 10th March due to issue related to payment of school and registration related problems.
Meanwhile, In the course of the examination students who violated the sitting arrangements policy had their name pasted to face the Students disciplinary committee (SDC) but were later pardoned upon the intervention of the Student Union Government and the polytechnic, Ag. Rector Dr Olawoye Olaniran.
Similarly, students who engaged in examination malpractices had their names filled in forms and would be called to face the school panel as at when due.
The returning students in ND2 couldn’t participate in the examination due to their just-concluded SIWES program.
The exams which ended with HND 1 students and some HND 2 students from the Agricultural department and Computer Science rounded off the process.
