Students To Print Examination Cards – ABU

By Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim

The management of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has said that from now henceforth, students are to print their examination cards electronically themselves.

This was contained in a special bulletin released by the management of the institution, Tuesday, 2nd March 2021 after the meeting of the senate.

“The university senate had approved the printing of examination cards electronically during the 503 (regular) meeting held Thursday, 25th February 2020. One implication of this is that students will henceforth print their examination cards themselves.”

According to the statement, the examination cards will contain photographs of students and their registered courses on the portal.

“The examination cards will contain photographs of the students as well as courses registered by the students on the portal. The card will also carry security information that will be used to verify them (detect genuine and fake exam cards and the information they contain).”

The management advised the students to upload their passport and make sure their course registration is complete. Should in case students have any complaints, they are required to email sdu@bu.edu.ng or mis@abu.edu.ng.

However, the management said that only those who have registered for the courses will have their names on attendance sheets. Failure to have complete courses on an exams card will deny one entry to the hall.

“Attendance sheets to be signed by students during examinations will contain only names of students who would have registered the courses on the portal. Students whose exam cards are not complete will not be allowed into the examinations.”
