AAUA Alumni to Offer Scholarship, Medals in Student Empowerment Programme

 The Alumni Association of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, will be offering students of the institution scholarship in their forthcoming Empowerment Programme.

The Student Empowerment Programme tagged SEP 4.0 is the fourth of such initiative by the association headed by Mr.Patrick Oluyide, an Alumnus of AAUA.

In a statement by the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. ‘Seyi Oluwalade, the programme will feature communication skills competition to test the writing and speaking abilities of students in the institution.

The programme will hold on October 4, 2018, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall where the top ten finalists will be given five minutes to speak on the given topics after submitting a hardcopy for assessment, the statement explains.

 “Interested students will submit a write-up not more than 2,500 words on the topic ‘Can the prevailing yahoo plus and other internet frauds be curbed? If yes, what are the roles of the nation’s higher institutions, governments and parents in curtailing the menace?”

Mr. Oluwalade in his statement further added that the “Prizes to be won are Scholarships which is school fees for one Academic Session and Semester; Medals/Trophy; and Data Subscription of any network” and “that Certificate of Participation shall be issued to all attendees of the training section of the SEP 4.0.”

Entries shall commence on Wednesday, September 1, 2018, and end on Wednesday, September 15, 2018.
