It was excitement galore over the weekend when the old boys and girls (91 set) of Victory High School, Ikeja met 31 years after graduation.
The former students could not hide their joy as they hugged, back tap and exclaimed at the Ikeja Country Club venue of the meeting.
The coordinator of the set, Mrs Folusho Anagor (Ainah) hinted that the purpose of the gathering was to appreciate God’s faithfulness and network to give back to their Alma Mata.
“Welcome everyone. What a delight to have you on board. Wow, 2022 makes it 31 years (all the glory to GOD) since we left High school, and there was a need to reconnect.
“It is a platform where we can reach out to one another in Love and possibly unite with purpose, a place where we can be free to express our thoughts and ideas in moving each other and our community(s) forward.
“You are highly welcome,” she stated.
There was a virtual connection with those who could not be at the event due to distance or other engagements.
The set also compiled the names of other mates who were yet to be connected with and resolved to reach out to them.
Prayers were also offered for the departed souls and their loved ones.
Folusho expressed hope that another meeting would come up soon, “Hopefully, we shall have another meeting soon by the grace of God and have a fuller house,” she said.
Waooo, Nice one. Looking forward to the next meeting, bigger with more excitement.
