Four Students Of Faith Academy Among Others To Represent Nigeria At World Championship

Four students of Faith Academy, Canaan Land, Ota, are among the six students to represent Nigeria at the 2023 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in Disneyworld, Orlando, Florida, USA.

The competition would take place between July 30 and August 2, 2023.

A statement by the organiser of the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship for Students in Nigeria, ReadManna Empowerment Initiative said the championship challenged students to demonstrate their proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

It added that the Championship was sponsored annually in Nigeria by Zenith Bank PLC, Agusto Consulting Limited, and Airtel PLC.

It read in part, “Certified MOS users will become proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, thereby, improving their chances of becoming gainfully employed in today’s digital world. It is globally recognised and gives certified users the opportunity to apply for jobs anywhere in the World. MOS certification also provides a solid foundation for advanced ICT training and certified users will be able to pursue training in advanced computer technologies.”

The students are Victor Omoyajowo, of Faith Academy, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State; Adesuwa Igbinedion of  Faith Academy, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State; Daniel Uzugbo of  Faith Academy, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State; Aderinsola Adeegbe of Faith Academy, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State; Fenna Nwokeji of Aduvie International School, Abuja, FCT; and Bolurinwa Fabuyi of City of Knowledge Academy, IjebuOde, Ogun State.

The students would be accompanied by the following two ICT teachers, Mr Olusola Ajayi of  Aduvie International School, Abuja, and  Mrs Victoria Adebayo of Faith Academy, Ota, Ogun State.

“The 2023 MOS Nigeria Competition conducted by ReadManna in Nigeria was held between October 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023,” it read.
