Nigeria is Ripe for Female President, Says Varsity Don

A lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Prof. Tukur Baba, Wednesday said Nigeria is ripe for a female president and that with the right condition, it will soon become a reality.

Baba made the assertion at the plenary for Diocesan Directors of Communication organised by the Catholic Diocese, Sokoto.

He maintained that with education and empowerment, the prospects are there for the emergence of a female president in the country.

The university don noted that Nigeria is blessed with women with excellent managerial skills and impeccable credentials that have what it takes to bring transformation in the polity.
