Only 7 Candidates, not 10, 000 Arrested at JAMB Exam Centres in Anambra ―Coordinator

Mrs Lynda Ajanwachukwu, Coordinator, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in Anambra State, says only seven candidates were involved in examination malpractice in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

Ajanwachukwu, who spoke to newsmen on Tuesday in Amawbia, Anambra State, said that the suspects were arrested by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

She, however, said that the examination in the state was a huge success and that plans were on to build on it.

Ajanwachukwu said that some problems identified like candidates not able to print at some examination centres would soon be a thing of the past, adding that JAMB was prepared to give the best examination process in the country.

She denied the media report that more than 10, 000 candidates were caught in various examination malpractices in the state.

Ajanwachukwu described the report as misleading and appealed to journalist to always cross check their facts very well before going public.
