Prof. Kabir Bala Takes Over As ABU’s Vice-Chancellor

Professor Kabir Bala has taken over as the Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He took over from the acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Danladi Amodu Ameh on April 30, 2020.

The new Vice-Chancellor now formally assumed office amidst Coronavirus pandemic in a simple ceremony held at the University’s Senate chamber.

Recall that Prof. Ibrahim Garba, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor was forced to bow to pressure and handed over to acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Danladi Amodu Ameh.

Prof. Kabir Bala while receiving the handing over notes, called on all staff members and other stakeholders to unite and work hard for the advancement of the university.

The new Vice-Chancellor also said that all hands must be on deck to take Ahmadu Bello University to greater heights.

He commended his predecessor, Prof. Ibrahim Garba, for the work he did for the university and prayed to God to reward him abundantly and help him in his future endeavours.
