College Celebrates Outstanding UTME Candidates

Adams International College, Oshodi, Lagos, has celebrated three of its students who scored 344, 346 and 355 in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with cash gifts and medals for their outstanding performances.

The school, at an award ceremony held on Tuesday, also presented medals to over 110 other students who scored above 300 in the UTME.

The Proprietor of the college, Mr Adams Adebola, said the school’s vision was to raise resourceful and quality future leaders through unwavering zero tolerance for examination malpractice.

He said, “Many desperate parents have proposed such uncanny synergies with us, but we have refused to be willing collaborators to the downward pull of excellence in the education sector to which we belong and hold dear to our hearts.

“We have students who scored 344, 346 and 355. You will discover two students went beyond the last feat recorded in 2020. It is against this backdrop that we feel motivated to celebrate our own, whose excellent performances remain a pride we can vouch for.”

One of the candidates, Owolabi Ajibola, who scored 304, said determination and focus helped him to achieve success in the UTME.

Ajibola said, “I converted from an art student to a science student because my dream is to study mechanical engineering at university. Some of my friends laughed at me and suggested different things to discourage me but I remained steadfast and today, this is the result.”
