The Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brigadier General Suleiman Zakari Kazaure yesterday charged batch ‘A’ Stream Two corps members serving in Benue state to take the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SEAD) training seriously in order to be self-reliant after service.
Kazaure who was represented by the Director Planning, Research and Statistics of NYSC, Mrs. Victoria Bose Okakwu maintained that the essence of SEAD was to equip corps members with necessary entrepreneurship skills for the purpose of producing Nigeria’s next set of entrepreneurs that can contribute to employment generation.
Kazaure also charged the corps members to take their one-year assignment serious while engaging in secondary assignments that will bring development to communities where they would be engaging in the primary assignment.
While acknowledging the challenges facing the camp like power supply, the DG promised to provide an alternative source of power before the next orientation.
