The Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani has asserted that the National Youth Service Corps has the best brains and beauty that can compete favourably with anyone around the globe.
The State Coordinator made the assertion Friday night during the crowning of winners of Miss NYSC and Mr. Macho contest at the Variety Night of the 2021 Batch ‘B’ (Stream II) orientation course.
Mrs. Ani said that the noble Scheme will continue to groom and showcase the best brains in the country that can compete at any international competition.
“I am happy that NYSC is creating enabling environment and investing hugely in the graduate youths mobilised for national service to find their feet and come out boldly to compete in beauty pageants, and show the world that Nigeria has what it takes to produce best individuals for such personality enhancing competitions”.
She charged the contestants to see their participation as a right step towards becoming much sought after personalities in the foreseeable future.
“Although, not all of you will win today but I am sure that you have set for yourselves a pathway of glory that will take you to stardom. Never relent but push a little harder and your best is just around the corner” she said.
At the end of the Miss NYSC contest, corps member Daramola, Oyinkansola Faith with code number OD/21B/2932 came first while the second and third positions went to corps members Okafor, Chinenye MaryJane with code number OD/21B/2353 and Joshua, Nseobong Grace with code number OD/21B/2774 respectively.
