“Read As If Your Life Depends On It” — Campus Journalist Advised Freshers

The National Association of Kwara State Students, NAKSS, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) chapter under the leadership of Comrade Idris Aloma organized an orientation programme for new students of the university that hails from Kwara state.

At the programme which was held at the A10 lecture hall, on Sunday, the president of the National Association of Campus Journalists, NACJ, Abdulwasiu Olokooba who was invited as a special guest was asked to orientate the freshers on the calculation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

He congratulated the new students and welcomed them to UDUS. He noted that it is a privilege for them to be admitted into this citadel of knowledge and they should make good use of the opportunity.

“Read as if your life depends on it in order to acquire an awesome CGPA. More than ten best students in the faculty of law are from Kwara state, likewise in medical courses if Kwara students are not first, they will be second, the feat is also attainable for anyone that studies well,” he advised.

He told them [freshers] that UDUS is not a playground, it is an institution where they will meet with over 20,000 students from different regions that they can relate with and learn from.
