Yaba Art Museum Exhibits ‘Green Leaves’ An Advocacy Against Gender-Based Violence

Yaba Art Museum, a project funded by Ford Foundation is organizing an exhibition on Film screenings and Multimedia titled: Green Leaves. The exhibition will feature the Screenings of films relating to youth development and Sexual Harassment and Gender-Based Violence(SHGBV).

According to a press release signed by the institution’s Head of Public Relations, Mr. Joe Ejiofor, it is expected that exhibition with social justice themes will stimulate genuine interaction between the academic community and visitors to the museum and also create a networking connection for a prospective and enduring future collaboration.

The exhibition will also create a mixer space for learners with creative practitioners on the prospects of multimedia practice and its functionality for social justice advocacy in contemporary society.

The exhibition has since opened on November 9, 2021, and it will run till November 17. Visiting hour is 10 am to 5 pm excluding Sunday.

This exhibition is coming after the much successful exhibition in March titled Yaba Cartoon Nation which features works of some selected Yabatech Alumni Cartoonists whose works over the past years have created a balance for social justice.
